F. Waldo Whitney

Dr. F. Waldo Whitney, age 61, was convicted of manslaughter in the October 22, 1914 abortion death of Mrs. Margaret Buetelman. He was sentenced to 2 – 19 1/2 years at Sing Sing.

Frederick Waldo Whitney, the son of English immigrants George E. and Sarah J. (Tolman) Whiney, was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts in August of 1854. He died in New York from complications of a femur fracture on 17 May, 1927. He was an allopath, licensed in New York in 1894, Louisiana in 1909, and New Jersey in 1921. He was an 1882 graduate of Dartmouth Medical School.
