  • Charisse Ards, a 20-year-old mother of one, died of pelvic infection in 1989 following a legal abortion.
  • Barbara Auerbach was 38 years old when she went to a New York hospital for an abortion and tubal ligation, performed in December of 1982.
  • Brenda Benton‘s survivors sued Biogenetics after her death, claiming that Dusan Zivkovic and/or V. Perez had performed an abortion on her in March of 1987.
  • Dorothy Brown age 37, underwent an abortion at Friendship Medical Clinic in Chicago in August of 1974. Within hours, she was dead at a nearby hospital.
  • Chanelle Bryant, age 22, was given the drugs for a chemical abortion at a Family Planning Associates Medical Group facility in California.

  • Sharon Davis was a high school student, 14 weeks pregnant, when she submitted to an abortion at a hospital in Tucumcari, New Mexico in September of 1982.
  • Loretta Enders, 19, went to Dr. Rongetti for an abortion in November of 1927.
  • Sharon Floyd, age 18, went to Associated Concern in Chicago for an abortion in March of 1975. Three days later, she died of pelvic infection and blood poisoning.

  • Carolina Gutierrez, who had come to the United States as a refugee from Nicaragua at age 13, was 20 years old when she went to Maber Medical Center in Miami for an abortion in December of 1995.
  • Angela Hall, a 27-year-old mother of five, called to arrange an abortion at Thomas Tucker’s office in Alabama. One of Tucker’s employees, Joy Davis, screened Angela and felt that she had risk factors that made abortion in an office setting unsafe.

  • Diane Smith was admitted to Englewood Hospital in Chicago due to hemorrhaging. She told staff that she’d had an abortion in a Chicago-area clinic.
  • Hoa Thuy “Vivian” Tran, like Holly Patterson, got her abortion drugs at a Planned Parenthood.
  • Maureen Lynne Tyke, a 21-year-old Pennsylvania resident, was in Florida visiting relatives when she went to Aware Woman Clinic in Melbourne for a safe and legal abortion.
  • Brenda Vise, a 38-year-old pharmaceutical representative, died on in September, 2002, of a ruptured ectopic pregnancy after a chemical abortion at Volunteer Women’s Clinic in Tennessee.
  • Twenty-year-old Gail Ann Vroman had an abortion performed in July, 1979, by New York abortionist Taskin Ratharathorn at Ft. Wayne Women’s Health Organization.
  • Nicey Washington was 26 years old when she underwent a safe and legal abortion at Ambulatory Surgery Center in Brooklyn, New York, in June, 2000.
  • Thirty-eight-year-old Ellen Williams went to Dadeland Family Planning for an abortion in March, 1985.
