Boguszewski and midwife Julia Statkiewz were arrested Oct. 2 after a South Chicago coroner’s jury concluded that Mrs. Julia Lawynowicz had died from the work of abortionists. Boguszewski, “who is wealthy and active in Polish circles,” lived in “the Palace” in the Polish section of Chicago.
