Molly Quinby, a widow from Hammond, Indiana died from abortion complications in Chicago’s Lakeside Hospital on May 31, 1915..

Before her death, Molly told police that over the years she had performed six self-induced abortions. This seems to indicate that this final, fatal abortion was also self-induced.
