On August 6, 1918, Rosa Barber was arrested in Reading, Pennsylvania for the abortion death of Sallie McGrann.

In September of 1918, she was tried in an abortion case in which the woman survived. The woman in question said that Barber had charged her $10 for the abortion. Barber was acquitted in that case, with the Sallie McGrann case still pending. I’ve been unable to find any other information about Sallie’s death.
